Hoops Stuff: Two new women's hoops signees
UW released some news today regarding the women's basketball team. According to a release sent out, Deborah Meeks and Beatrice Carta signed letters of intent to play for first-year, head coach Kevin McGuff. Both young women will be available for the 2011-12 seasons at guardm and will help ease the loss of the injured Kristi Kigma. “Deborah and Beatrice are both terrific young women who should be able to contribute a tremendous amount to our program,” McGuff said. “They’re the type of student-athletes who can compete for minutes and help us contribute to a successful season.” For the complete release, go to gohuskies.com In men's basketball news, Lorenzo Romar will be meeting with the media today at 2:45 for the first time as the 2011…
