TGIF Husky "Stuff"
A few notes:
Sark is meeting with the press this morning but it is a teleconference; meaning that it is only for members of the media and not the usual fare of video and/or radio transmission. I explained this on the boards but wanted to explain it again so you underestand that it's not one of those big rallies to introduce coaches, or anything else. The main purpose, as I was told is to tie up loose ends from end of the season and (probably) talk about the new coaching hires.
There's not a doubt that someone won't ask about the DL coaching position -- but whether or not Sark has anything to tell us yet about this is yet to be seen.
Here's what I do know, as of this morning, on the subject.
Enoke Brechterfield, according to my sources, is NOT in play. But Tosh Lupoi is still very much in play. This has been beaten to death already in the papers and on our own message boards, but it's worth repeating that, making around 160 grand at Cal, the ceiling on what Lupoi could make at Washington is much higher.
I also know that Keith Heyward headed into town last night -- and one little fact that some might not realize is that his fiance lives in Seattle and so this was a doubly good move for Heyward!
Recruiting:
There are 7 prospects that will be visiting this weekend. We will go into much more detail about them later in the afternoon to early evening in a separate article.
All who are visiting have offers (and three are already committed) except one -- who could earn an offer while visiting.
