Tuesday Morning Links and Ramblings

Posted on December 27, 2011 at 05:25:59 by Ruth Robbins

Let's all do a huge exhale that the Holidays are over! I love how my media colleagues are all able to run ahead to cover the team in San Antonio, while us women-folk have to lag behind as we must put Christmas dinner on the table and entertain out-of-towners. Guess there's something to be said for A) being a guy or B) being single.

But I choose to be A) a woman and B) married with children. So I'm lagging.

But in the spirit of getting back to work, here's some "stuff" for this Tuesday morning.

This article was in the San Antonio paper over the weekend, in case you missed it, about Sark changing the culture at Washington.

It's interesting that the odds have gone up a bit for the Huskies since before the holidays. Right now Baylor is favored by just a mere touchdown.

The Kansas City Star has an "in-depth" look at the match-up between the Huskies and Bears as well.

Nick Holt addressed the small group of media in attendence for the Alamo Bowl press conference on Monday and Bob Condotta recorded it. Here's a link

In other news -- it seems the Oregon Ducks are still trying to find some credibility when it comes to winning big games and this has hurt them with several pundits trying to call the Rose Bowl, here's one such debate

Speaking of which, Oregon is being warned to enjoy their trip to the Rose Bowl now, for it may not come again, by Ken Goe of theOregon Insider today. Interestingly enough, Goe suggests that their may be more the NCAA is contending with than just the Willie Lyles issues..or maybe more to the Lyles issues, perhaps. It could be that Lyles not only funneled Lache Seastrunk to Oregon, but he was also the tie the bound La Michael James to Oregon as well. If it is found that Lyles is considered a booster, then James could be ruled ineligible and their wins forfieted.

The Huskies are having a blast in San Antonio so far, and if you want to keep up with their goings-on everyday until Thursday's game, go to coachsark.com for all the latest in photos, video, and more.
