Salling Earns Second-Team All American Honors
OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - Senior shortstop Jenn Salling (Port Coquitlam, B.C.) was named a Second-Team All-American by the Lowe's Senior CLASS Award last weekend. She was just the second Husky softball player to be named a finalist along with Dominique Lastrapes.
Salling graduated from UW in December with a 3.06 GPA in anthropology. In 2010 she earned Academic All-Pac-10 Honorable Mention honors.
In her three years at UW, she became one of the best players in school history. A two-time All-American, All-Pac-10 and All-Pacific-Region selection, she was a member of the 2009 National Championship team and the 2010 Pac-10 Championship team while leading the 2011 team to the NCAA Super Regionals and a 37-16 overall record.
